Three Cheers for Cake!
This cake brought back memories from my childhood! I loved to cheer and loved making this cake for Alysse. It is an Oreo cookie cake with a berry Oreo cookie filling. It is frosted with vanilla butter cream and decorated with fondant stars, polka dots and pom poms. It is topped with a modeling chocolate sculpture of a cheering Alysse! Super fun and girlie!
July is full of birthdays in our family. My beloved sister-in-law and my husband's birthday are a week apart so we celebrated them together this year. For Brana, I created a vanilla cake with raspberry lemon butter cream filling with a chocolated ganache poured frosting with fresh raspberry accents. My husband wanted our family crest on a cake, so I made a amaretto bavarian cream cake with buttercream frosting and made the family crest out of fondant. Lots of sweets for my sweeties!!!
Elephants on Parade!
My very good friend is having a girl and her new room is decorated with elephants, so I used them for inspiration for her baby shower. I created the cake based on a piece of art work used in the baby's nursery. It was a vanilla pound cake with raspberry lemon zest butter cream with a fondant elephant and ribbon. So cute and soooo good!
The elephant cupcakes were favors for the guests. I personally loved them!
Handbag Cake
Happy Birthday to my Mom to hit a milestone birthday in July. She loves to shop for hand bags so this was a great cake for her. It is a vanilla pound cake filled with a raspberry lemon buttercream and decorated with chocolate fondant. This cake was special for a wonderful mom!

On the Cowboy's 40!
How about them Cowboys! My good friend's husband is a HUGE life-long Dallas Cowboys fan and he celebrated his 40th birthday in May. We decided to make 40 the number of the game and highlighted the 40 yard line and I made a sculture of a Dallas Cowboy out of modeling chocolate and fondant and then painted "Moore 40" on the jersey with edible paint. The cake needs a tall glass of milk or big scoop of vanilla ice cream! It is an All-american chocolate cake with chocolated ganache filling. Yum! The outside is vanilla butter cream and details in homemade fondant.

Lollipop Barbie Cake
This year for Adelina's 3rd birthday she wanted both Barbie and Dora... so I created a Barbie cake based on the "Lollipop Happy Birthday Barbie" doll we gave her as part of her gift. Then I made lollipop cupcakes with her monogram on them and finally Dora cupcakes. They were all Oreo cookie cakes with vanilla buttercream and homemade fondant. This cake was extremely fun to make since I have all boys and I am a girlie girl! Go pink! Her mom and I got swept away by the lollipop Barbie theme and made lollipop centerpieces to match the cake and rest of the "Barbie" decor.

Henry's Baptism
We baptised our youngest son, Henry David, on Sunday and of course need the perfect cake. This is a white cake with vanilla buttercream with homemade fondant in cornflower blue and silver to match the invitations I sent family for this blessed event. I got in a bit of a hurry on this one, but I think it still turned out well.

Cash's Barn, Tractor and 4-Wheeler Cake
Sweet Baby Cash turned three and wanted a barn, a 4-wheeler and a tractor on his cake... so I created this "down on the farm" cake to make it all work. I personally love the pig!
God's Will Baptism Cake
A friend just had her son, Will, Baptized at our church. His name is Will so we thought "God's Will" was the perfect wording for this traditional white cake with vanilla buttercream icing cut into the shape of a cross.
Spiderrific Cupcakes
I'm a bit late posting these fun spider cupcakes I created for a friend who threw our children a fun spider inspired Halloween party. These are goggle eyed black fondant spiders and white chocolate webs.

Labor of Love... No Really!
I made thse cupcakes to celebrate the arrival of my second son Henry. I thought it would be fun to have birthday cupcakes on the day he was born for family, friends and the nurses. We were scheduled for a c-section so I knew when I needed them. Ironically, my water broke just a few hours after I finished them and my son came a few hours early... but on the same day we had scheduled him! Now I know the cramping I felt while working on these were labor pains. Everyone love the diaper designed cupcakes especially.
Free of Dairy, Not Style
This cake was so much fun. This was for a six year old little girl who because of dairy allergies had never had a cute birthday cake. Since we BOTH love princesses, I loved crafting this purple and pink princess inspired cake. The bottom tier was a yellow cake and the top tier was chocolate. The dairy free cake was softer and required more supports than your standard cake, but I think it was worth the extra effort to make her day special.
